How does high-frequency work?
During your high-frequency facial, a small handheld device that emits a high-frequency electrical current is moved over your face in small circular motions. The device contains a glass electrode filled with gas, usually neon or argon, which emits a gentle warming glow when the current passes through it.
Generating skin warmth stimulates nerve endings, increases blood circulation, encourages healthy cell function and promotes skin healing. The high-frequency current also oxygenates the skin’s surface, creating a germicidal effect and killing acne-causing C.ance bacteria.
This treatment can help stop persistent acne in its tracks. You’ll see improvement after one high-frequency facial, but we recommend a course to help clear and prevent acne from recurring. You can receive the treatment every five days.
